A backer hero can be dismissed and later re-claimed, even on the same turn.Īlthough outfits can't be changed via the game controls, they can be changed by switching the order of outfits as listed in the "heroes" folder. Claiming backer heroes īacker heroes can be claimed and added to the roster by entering the Stage Coach, pressing the key and typing the name of the desired hero, and then dragging them to your heroes list, as normal. (* However, the outfit can be easily changed in the game files see "Forcing outfit changes", below). Though the fixed quirks can be removed as normal via the Sanitarium and all other factors work the same as any other character, the hero's name cannot be modified, and the outfit cannot be changed in-game.* Additionally, every hero has their own combination of skills unlocked by default locked skills can be unlocked in the Guild and Survivalist's Tent as any other heroes.
All backer heroes come with one aggravated negative quirk and two locked positive quirks that are always the same for any unique hero name.
Backer heroes are pre-generated, non-random heroes created by the Kickstarter backers of Darkest Dungeon.
